Pressure Sensors

Measurement Specialties is an industry leader for the breadth and quality of its pressure sensors, which include pressure transmitter components and pressure transducers. Using multiple technologies, we offer a range of pressure sensors that can measure from inches of water up to pressure transducers that can measure greater than 30,000 PSI. Measurement Specialties pressure sensors are used for a range of diverse applications in industries such as medical, aerospace, transportation, general industry, and test and instrumentation. Pressure sensors can also be delivered as a MEMS silicon pressure die for very small embedded applications. Customization of our pressure sensors is offered for high-volume applications.

Digital Pressure Sensor Modules

Measurement Specialties' digital pressure sensor modules and analog pressure sensor modules are signal conditioned and temperature compensated and are available in small footprints for lightweight applications. Standard interfaces include SPI or I²C but may be configured for other outputs. Our sensor modules can operate on as little as 1.8V.

mV Output Pressure Sensors

Measurement Specialties’ mV output pressure sensors are calibrated, temperature compensated, and mounted on a reliable ceramic substrate in an industry standard 0.600 inch lead spacing. These sensors utilize piezoresistive silicon MEMS technology making them suitable for applications that use non-corrosive dry gases. Pressure ports are offered in metal tubes or ceramic barbed ports.

Our surface mounted device (SMD) pressure sensors are intended for high volume applications where small size, light weight, and low cost are needed. These pressure sensors are offered in a plastic tube, or metal ring with an optional gel fill for media isolation. Uncompensated mV, room temperature calibrated and 16-bit digital outputs are offered.

Disposable Medical Pressure Sensors

Measurement Specialties’ disposable medical blood pressure sensors utilize piezoresistive silicon MEMS technology for high volume and low cost applications. Designed to meet AAMI requirements, these sensors are available with a custom plastic housing, cable or connector.

Altimeter Pressure Sensor Modules

Measurement Specialties’ altimeter pressure sensor modules and barometric pressure sensor modules come in a variety of options that include low power, SPI or I²C interface, gel fill, metal/plastic tube or plastic port, and custom calibration. These sensors are mounted onto a ceramic substrate for long term stability.
